In the days of the 1st. and 2nd. June 2007 a royal parade of King Charles IV. and his wife from Prague Castle to Karlštejn is going to take place. They will carry the imperial coronation jewels from Hradčany back to their seat. The journey starts on the 1st. June and makes part of the two-day historical event called "Royal Parade from Prague to Karlštejn Castle".

Everyone, either dressed up in period costumes or in normal clothes, can participate at the parade. The event provides historical insight into the real story of Charles IV, Czech King and Roman Emperor. According to legend, every year the coronation jewels were taken to Prague to be displayed to the wide public.

The historical parade is going to be an exact copy of the return journey of the royal retinue. More details: www.kralovskypruvod.cz
